Taxes have come and gone, and we’re still here. That’s always good news.
Well, in comic book project news, there’s lots happening this month. Ryan Morris and I have been in contact quite a bit as we get ready to publish a short story called “Sir Rick the Homeless” in the next issue of the indie anthology series “Tales of the Supernatural.” Ryan has been working on a zombie story for a long time, and it’s been really exciting to see him working on a different storyline. Thanks for taking some time away from “The Hidden” for this short story, Ryan!
We’re submitting the finished short story at the end of the month, and we should have an announcement about the date of publication shortly afterwards.
There are a few other comic book projects in the works, but I can’t announce them as of yet. But, I am getting my comic book geek on tomorrow at the NOLA Comic-Con down in New Orleans. Just when I was really starting to miss getting to go to a convention, I found out that this show is going to be close to home! Some big artists from the industry are going to be there, including Rob Guillory (Chew), Dave Johnson (Superman: Red Son, 100 Bullets), and Darick Robertson (Transmetropolitan, The Boys, The Authority: Prime, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, and Prototype).
On the flip side of the geek coin that is my life, I also have a few website development projects that are almost ready. I’ve already mentioned Vintage 106 before, and we should be live next week (fingers crossed!). I’m also helping out with another project for Tyler Waddell, the guy who publishes the webcomic Celu. It’s been really cool to get to see more of his artwork, and I will be sure to post a link when everything’s polished and ready.
So my summary this month is that things are almost ready to see. Hopefully, next month will have lots of examples for you to see.
