During this past week, I took my geekiness to another level and began buying my comic books on Wednesday, the day they come out. You see, it was all innocent enough in the past. I could just pick up my graphic novels and set them on the shelf. The trade paperback form almost makes comics seem like a grown-up thing (almost). But last week I started writing reviews for another comic book website in addition to the one I’m already working with.
Yeah, it’s super geeky, but I’m having a blast. This week, I reviewed Dead Future #5 at Project Fanboy and Sweets #2 for Comics Bulletin. If you haven’t seen Sweets #2, you really should check it out. First, it’s set in New Orleans, so it automatically has a pretty cool setting. And second, the art is absolutely gorgeous. I expound upon it at my review, so I won’t blather too much here. But it’s nice.
Not a whole lot else going on this week. Be back next week.
